Hi, I’m Katherine, and this is Little Gems.

I’m a former restaurant writer/editor turned business owner/shopgirl/cookbook author.

Big Night is that business, shop, and book. It’s the brand I’ve built to help life at home feel more special.

And one thing I know for sure is that every Big Night is made up of a whole lot of little gems. Yes, I’m talking about the (objectively) best type of salad leaves. But I’m also talking about those moments, discoveries, and conversations that you wake up still thinking about the next morning.

Little Gems is a place for me to remember those small yet significant glimmers of joy — not just at home, but also while living (and eating) in New York City, while running my shops, while traveling, and more.
